Cycles on Shimura varieties and applications to Faltings heights

Automorphic forms, Shimura varieties, Galois representations and L-functions December 01, 2014 - December 05, 2014

December 02, 2014 (11:00 AM PST - 12:00 PM PST)
Speaker(s): Benjamin Howard (Boston College)
Location: MSRI: Simons Auditorium
Primary Mathematics Subject Classification No Primary AMS MSC
Secondary Mathematics Subject Classification No Secondary AMS MSC

I'll speak about ongoing joint work with Bruinier, Kudla, Rapoport, and Yang on the modularity of certain generating series of cycles on unitary Shimura varieties, and applications to new cases of Colmez's conjecture on the Faltings heights of CM abelian varieties.
