Ideals Associated To Subspace Arrangements

Motivated by the study of the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of products of ideals Herzog and I proved, about twenty years ago, that a product of ideals of linear forms has a linear resolution. Only recently Tsakiris and I managed to describe such a resolution. It is supported on a polymatroid naturally attached to the associated subspace arrangements.
